What is breathwork?
Alter your breath. Alter your state.
Bring yourself back to your heart and soul.
Conscious breathing brings awareness to the way we engage with the external world and recharge our bodies. Breath, as prana, is the source of life. How we breathe shapes how we feel, our mindset, our energy levels and how our physical body functions. Breathwork sessions use guided altered breath patterns to release deep emotions, find clarity, decrease stress, anxiety and overwhelm, and improve circulation and digestion.
Deep Breathwork Sessions (2 sessions booked together)
For this type of breathwork, we will meet either Virtually (Zoom video call) or in person to discuss your specific needs and desired outcomes and review the type of breathwork we will be doing together (30 minutes). We will then plan for our second session (deep breathwork). This second session is where we work together on guiding your breath in a specific altered breathing pattern (three part conscious circular breathing) which is focused on accessing your deep emotions, decreasing stress, anxiety and overwhelm, and reconnecting you to your true self. I will be curating a music list specific to your desired outcomes based on our first meeting. When we practice breathing in altered breath patterns, we are able to influence how the nervous system works, access trapped emotions, shift negative patterns, find clarity, calm and deal with day to day stress. You will be guided in a supported, safe and nurturing environment to work toward overall improvement of mental, physical and spiritual well-being. This type of breathwork can be very powerful in allowing deep releases of stuck emotions, awareness and clarity of your true potential and connection with purpose.
What To Expect
Find yourself a space where you can be cozy, uninterrupted and be comfortably lying down for this style of breathwork. You may want to lay on a yoga mat, with your head flat (don’t use a pillow to prop your head up as it may hamper your ability to breathe deeply) and perhaps have a blanket over the body to keep you warm. Please do not eat 90 minutes to 2 hours prior to the session so you can focus on breathing not digesting. You may want to use headphones for the breathwork sessions, but I find as long as your can get the volume loud enough on your speakers it works well. We will go over all of this at your first breathwork session. Just be open and let the magic happen!
*Note - Breathwork sessions are offere both virtually (remote) and in-person (specific schedule). For remote sessions, we will connect via Zoom (video or voice call based on your preference). Remote sessions are just as effective (and for some, even more powerful!) when we connect in this way.
